NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 21^st October, 1998

 S.O.. 913 (E). ---- In exercise  of the powers conferred by Sub-Section (I) of Section 218 of the Merchant Shipping Act, 1958 (44 of 1958) read with Rules 3 and 4 of the National Welfare Board for Seafarers Rules, 1963, as amended from time  to time  and in partial modification of the Ministry’s Notification S.O. No. 728(E) dated 14.10.1997, the Central Government  hereby appoints Shri M.K. Majumdar, Dy. General Manger-in-Charge, Fleet Personnel Department, Shipping Corporation  of India as a member  of the National Welfare Board in place  of Capt.  V.K. Gupta vide serial No. 9 of the said Gazette Notification, as a representative of Shipowners till  13^th October, 1999.
