Sir, Kindly refer to this office letter No.33(1)CR/2000-IV dated 15.09.2005 forwarding therewith copies of (i) Merchant Shipping (Recruitment & Placement of Seafarers) Rules, 2005 vide G.S.R. No.182(E) dated the 18th March 2005, (ii) GSR No. G.S.R. No.181(E) dated the 18th March, 2005 and (iii) G.S.R. No. 580(E) dated the 14th September, 2005. 2. In this connection, kindly find enclosed a copy of the letter No.SR-11012/1/2005-MA dated the 1st August, 2006 of Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport & Highways, New Delhi to the Manager, Government of India Press for publication in the Gazette of India a notification on 01.08.2006, whereby, last date for obtaining licence under Merchant Shipping (Recruitment & Placement of Seafarers) has been extended upto 31.12.2006. 3.
