(Merchant Shipping) 

G.S.R. 976 :-   In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 87, read with sections 78 and 83, of the Merchant Shipping Act, 1958(44 of 1958), the Central Government herby makes the following rules further to amend the Merchant Shipping (Examination of Engineers and Engine Drivers of Fishing Vessels) Rules, 1973, namely :-  

1.     (1)   There rules may be called the Merchant Shipping (Examination of Engineers and Engine Drivers of Fishing Vessels) Amendment Rules, 1976. 

        (2)    They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.  

2.     In the Merchant Shipping (Examination of Engineers and Engine Drivers of Fishing Vessels) Rules, 1973, in sub-rule (1) of rule 14, for the letters and figures "Rs. 22/50" shall be substituted.
