VACANCY NOTICE
It
is proposed to fill up a few posts of Engineer and Ship
Surveyors, Nautical Surveyors and Ship Surveyor in
Directorate General of Shipping / Mercantile Marine Departments
in the pay scale of Rs. 12,000-375-16,500/- on ad-hoc basis from
the eligible candidates possessing the following age,
educational qualification and experience:-

For Engineer & Ship Surveyor |
For Nautical Surveyor |
For Ship Surveyor |

Age: Not exceeding 50 years |
Age: Not exceeding 50 years |
Age: Not exceeding 45 years |
|
First Class Engineer's certificate of competency (Steam or
Motor or both) with 5 years of service at sea of which 1
year must have been as Chief Engineer or Second Engineer |
Certificate of Competency (Master foreign going) with 5
years service as Deck Officer of which one year must have
been in capacity of a Master or Chief Officer on a foreign
going ship.

1) Degree in Naval Architecture from a recognized
University or equivalent;
2) 8 Years practical experience in design, construction,
Survey and repairs of Ships carried out in shipbuilding or
ship repairing yards. |
The reservation is applicable to the candidates belonging to
Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Class as per
rules.
