Subject :- Extension of maximum age limit for faculty members


            In partial modification of para 3.6.5 of DGS Order No.2 of 2007, the maximum age limit of the faculty members, has been increased from 67 to 70 years.  The annual Medical Fitness Certificate  from the DGS approved doctor, in respect of faculties above 65 years,  is to be obtained by the Institute and placed in their records and the same will be made available to the inspection teams as and when asked.  This amendment is applicable to the Principal/ Director /Captain Superintendent /Dean/Faculty  of the maritime training institutes who are not involved in active physical training.

 

2.         The maximum age limit of Instructors and those faculty members who are involved in supervision of physical training or active demonstration during the training, shall not exceed 67 years.

 

3.         This issues with the approval of the Director General of Shipping & Ex-Officio Additional Secretary to the Govt. of India.
