In order to continuously review and maintain the quality of all pre sea, post sea and basic modular courses conducted by the various maritime training Institutes, the Directorate continuously monitors   the institutes.  In order to assist the Directorate in these endeavours, it is essential that up-to-date data is available with the Directorate with respect to the number of candidates trained, etc.  In order to compile the data, all the maritime training institutes are hereby requested to submit Half Yearly Returns in the appended format to this Directorate on or before 10th of January and 10th of July of every year without fail. ( For the year 2008 the first return may be forwarded by 1^st March 2008).

             In this connection, it is reiterated that in case, any approved course is not conducted during the period under report, the same fact may be indicated and invariably all courses approved by the Directorate must be included in the appended return.
