1.         Attention of all concerned is  invited to  S.D.Circular No.01 of 2008  and Amendment to SD Circular No.1 of 2008 dated 22.7.2008 on the above subject.  As per   para. 3 of the Amendment to S.D.Circular 1 of 2008  dated 22.7.2008,  it has been stated that an appropriate fee shall be charged on charterers of offshore vessels which are not classed with IRS and are above 25 years of age which will be payable to DG Shipping as under:-

(i)         For self-propelled Offshore Service Vessels of all descriptions, viz.  Anchor Handling Tug, Tug, Supply Vessels, Support Vessels, etc. –  One percentage (1%) of the rate of charter hire per day in US $  multiplied by number of days for which charter hire permission is issued.

(ii)         For non-propelled vessels such as Dumb  Barges, Pontoons, Non –propelled Accommodation Barges, Jack-up Rigs etc.:-    25% of the amount prescribed under para 1 above.

2.      The above orders will come into force with immediate effect.  The payment of the fees prescribed above is to be made by way of Demand Draft/Pay Order drawn in  favour of  “ Director General of Shipping”  Payable at Mumbai  and should accompany  with the application.
