     The Competent Authority has sanctioned the 45 days Earned Leave to Smt. Kiran Dhingra, IAS, Director General of Shipping and ex.Officio Additional Secretary to the Govt. of India from 14th July to 27th August, 2008.

     The Competent Authority has made the following arrangements during the above leave period of DG(Shipping):-

1. Chief Surveyor/Nautical Adviser/Administration Wings will look after their respect areas of work.

2. Chief Surveyor will coordinate on a day-to-day basis.

3. Policy decisions and for issues where powers are with DG(S), matters may be referred to the Ministry.
