Sub: Endorsement of Statement of Compliance for Port Facilities.

Sir,

1.         The undersigned is directed to convey that ambiguity prevails in respect of endorsements to Statement of Compliances (SoC) consequent to completion of verification audits required by provision 16.62.4 (Part B) of the ISPS Code.

2.         It is hereby clarified that the concerned auditor who conducts and completes the verification shall endorse the SoC on ensuring that the subject port facility meets the requirements of the approved Port Facility Security Plan (PFSP) and all relevant circulars issued from time to time by Directorate General of Shipping.

3.         Whenever any doubt arises relating to endorsements of SoC, the Principal Officer is requested to seek clarification from the Directorate General of Shipping (NT Wing).
