Subject : Revised one time registration fees and annual fees for recurring expenses towards ISPS
             communication centre.

         

     This circular supersedes N. T .Branch Circular Nos. NT / ISPS/COM/ 08/ 2004 dated 3rd September 2004, NT/ ISPS/ COMM/ 09/ 2005 dated 8th July 2005 and NT/ ISPS/ 04/ 2007 dated 18th January 2007, whereby the registration requirements and payment of Annual Fees towards operation and maintenance of Communication Centre were communicated to all ship owners and port facilities.

The subject matter has been reviewed and the fees towards annual and one time registration have been revised to meet the expenses of the services being provided by the DG Communication Centre.

3.      Payments may kindly be made by crossed cheque drawn in favour of ‘Indian Register of Shipping’ and
   delivered / mailed to :

Indian Register of Shipping,

52A, Adi Shankaracharya Marg,

Powai, Mumbai – 400 072;
Receipts for payments made will be issued by IRS directly to the party making the payment.

4.   The ship owners and port facilities shall reimburse the outstanding applicable amounts due till financial year 2009 – 2010 to IRS latest by 31st March 2010 for which receipts shall be issued by IRS.  The Annual fees for financial year 2010 – 2011 onwards shall be payable strictly by 31st May of each year.

5.   The invoicing for Port facilities for one time Registration and annual fees shall be carried out by the ISPS cell of DG Shipping and for the ships by IRS.  Further Auditors undertaking verification audits of Major and Non major ports and Indian Ships shall ensure that audit reports reflect the status of the fees paid / payable. 

6.   In the event the applicable fees due are not cleared by the stipulated date, appropriate action and additional penalty shall be imposed by the Directorate.

7.   All Indian Ship owners, ports and shipyards may please be guided accordingly. 

8.  This issues with the approval of Director General of Shipping ex-Officio Additional  Secretary  of Govt of India.
