Exemption of fees for family dispensation
As a welfare measure for the Indian Seafarers, a decision has been taken in the Directorate to wave the family dispensation fees. This was notified vide NT Branch Circular No. NT/DISP/01/2005 dated 7th October, 2005. It is reiterated that all Mercantile Marine Departments may ensure that no fees whatsoever is charged for dispensation granted to the family members of seafarers to sail on the ship.
