In
M.S. Notice
15 of 2003 and
M.S. Notice No. 20 of 2003, following 10 institutes were permitted to conduct the above
mentioned courses.
1. LBS CAMSAR, Mumbai
2. Marine Engineering & Research Institute, Kolkata
3. Maritime Training Institute, Mumbai
4. Indian Register of Shipping, Mumbai
5. National Institute of Port Management, Chennai
6. Indian Institute of Port Management, Kolkata
7. American Bureau of Shipping (ABS)
8. Lioyd's Register of Shipping (LRS)
9. Det Norske Veritas (DNV)
10. Naval Maritime Academy
2. As FOSMA and MASSA institutes have been sponsored by the Industry and
does not belong to any individual interest group and also they have developed
expertise in training matter, FOSMA, New Delhi and MASSA, Mumbai have been
short listed to be allowed to conduct such courses, provided they apply
to DGS for approval after satisfying all laid down norms for approval of
courses.
