Subject: Revision of Fees for On-line Application of INDOS

1)         Fee structure for application for INDOS registration prescribed in 2001 vide M.S.Notice  Number No. 2 of 2001 was further reiterated in M.S. notice 23 of 2008 for online application for INDO'S registration. 

2)        A Partial modification is now being done of M.S.Notice No.23 of 2008 dated 5^th Nov 2008, issued by Directorate General of Shipping regarding revision of fees to Sr.No.6. to expand the scope of services rendered to INDOS number holder. 

3)         The following New Para is replaced  for Sr.No. 6 i.e. fee structure to M.S.Notice No.23 of  2008. 

"Fee Structure: There is no fees for On-line verification of COC. However, for  online application the fee structure shall be as under: 

      2.1       For Indian Seafarers                                                        Rs.1200/-

               2.2       A Foreign National holding Indian Certificate

                     of Competency/Modular courses                                          US $50                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   ----------''

4)         The above revision in fees will come into force w.e.f.  1^st January,2011. 

5)         The revision in fees will also cover  the basket of additional services provided to  the seafarer:- 

i)          Sending the C.D.C. through  a special secured acknowledgement due postal services offered  by   Department of Post. 

ii)         Opening a zero balance account of Seamen's Provident Fund Organization after issuance of C.D.C.

iii)         Sending the C.O.C. of seafarers through a special secured acknowledgement due postal services offered by Department of Post. 

iv)         Integrating the seafarers data from various modules and giving the seafarers an access to its executive summary. 

v)         Printout of  seafarers data can be taken by him on line. No need of visiting INDOS office. 

vi)        Help Desk for every seafarer available 24 X 7 at D.G.Shipping, 1^st floor, Telephone No.     022-2261 3606/3668.

vii)        Seafarers can register with D.G. Shipping online for using various online services offered by D.G.Shipping. 

viii)       Seafarers can update there profile online. No need of visiting INDOS office.        

            This issues with the approval of Director General of Shipping & Ex-officio Additional Secretary to the Govt. of  India.
