Information to Chief Hydrographer regarding changes to charted
data
It
has been brought to the notice of this Directorate that changes
to charted data are not being forwarded to the Chief Hydrographer
to the Govt. of India.
Port
authorities are requested to inform any changes in navigational
information pertaining to their respective ports inclusive of
Modernization plan etc. to the office of the Chief Hydrographer
for incorporation into charts.
Ship
Masters are once again reminded to actively participate in updating
charts and nautical publication by informing the Chief Hydrographer
to the Govt. of India any discrepancy noted to charted data inclusive
of any dangers or incorrect charted aids to navigation.
This
information is used by the hydrographic office for the correction
and update of charts and nautical publication for safety of ships.
