Subject : Use of calculators in nautical examinations.

  
In suppression of all previous communications on the above subject, the Chief Examiner of Master & Mates has decided that the use of calculator in nautical examination would be permitted with immediate effect as follows: -

    Three-month pre-sea courses: 
    Non-scientific, non-programmable, single memory calculators.

  1. All other Nautical examination including NWKO (NCV), 2nd Mate foundation course & higher examinations:

Scientific, non-programmable, single memory calculators.
