Bhatt Bhatt Clinic, Opp. Gujrati School, New Road, Kochi - 2.  Ph.: 224845. 1.      INSA/MASSA/FOSMA are requested to ensure that all members of the panel of approved medical examiners, recommended by their respective organization, enjoy absolute professional independence from employers, workers and their representatives, in exercising their medical judgment,  in terms of the medical examination procedures.  It may further be ensured that such examiners are provided with a copy of Merchant Shipping (Medical Examination) Rules,2000 and the relevant instructions regarding the conduct of medical examination of seafarers, issued by this Directorate, from time to time. 2.         This notice comes into force with immediate effect.
