Sub: Processing  fees for Renewal of Registration as 'Multimodal Transport Operator'
       under Section 4 of MMTG Act, 1993.

      

           Directorate General of Shipping as a Competent Authority under Multimodal Transportation of Goods Act, 1993 receives applications for registration as MTO under Section 4 of the said Act.
 

            Despite instructions to submit applications in time at the time of first registration, it has come to the notice of Directorate that the applications for renewal of the said registration are received beyond the validity of registration granted earlier. Therefore, to curb the tendency of such delayed submissions by registered MTO, the Competent Authority hereby prescribes, under section 4 (5) of the said Act, fee of Rs. 20,000/- for those applications from MTO which are not submitted prior to 60 days before the expiry of the validity of registration.
 

            The fees as notified above will be applicable with immediate effect.
