Subject : Qualifying sea service for MEO Class IV (operational level) C.O.C. on ships playing in
             near coastal voyages including coastal vessel & OSV's

Reference: Instruction to Examiners Circular No.077 dated 04.10.2004 & 85 dated 11th February, 2005

In supersession of Instruction to Examiners circular no. 85 dated 11th February, 2005 the Chief Examiner of Engineers has further decided that the services performed on below mentioned vessels shall be considered at full rate as ‘qualifying sea service’ for MEO Class IV Part B examination (Operational Level) as follows:

Vessels having propulsion power of 750 K.W. or more.

Sea Service acceptable at full rate for MEO Class IV Part B, NCV and Alternative Training Scheme (ATS) Candidates.


This issues with the approval of Chief Examiner of Engineers.
