This Directorate has received numerous representations from the
candidates after the issuance of
Circular No. 065 dated 15.06.2004.
The Chief Examiner of Engineers has now reconsidered the case, keeping in
mind the difficulties which may be faced by the candidates. In
supersession of EAC Branch Circular Number 065 dated 15th June,
2004 has decided to extend the exemption for the following candidates only
:
1. Candidates who were holding MEO Class II Certificate of
competency (old) and upgraded / revalidated to MEO Class II Certificate of
Competency (New) and have obtained MEO Class II (New) by passing the
written and oral examination in all subjects.
2. The
candidate has completed the required sea service to be eligible for MEO
Class I exams.
This exemption
provision is till 31st December, 2004 and no further exemption
shall be given.
