Further to our circular 043
dated 01/05/2002 the qualifying sea service for conversion to
NCV certificate of competency may be considered as follows:
1) Sea Service done on vessels below 750 KW may be considered
at half rate towards qualifying sea sevice.
2) In case the sea service is done on Foreign flag vessels then
the service be scrutinized in same manner as it is scrutinized
for candidates appearing for MEO(FG) exams.
