All those candidates who have
completed their initial training in accordance with Flow Diagram
No. 1 page III/7 of META Manual Vol. I (Merchant Shipping STCW
Rules-1998) having commenced their training after 1st Aug 1998,
can be issued an EXN-45 in the old format with specific mention
of DGS Reference Nos. (Pro-forma “B”) and the TAR Book No. on
the EXN-45 issued to them. The EXN-45 in the new format is under
print and will be issued to them at the next available opportunity
when they either come for examination or when the new EXN-45 are
made available to you.
