The matter of approving specific
categories of those who have passed ITI with reference to stream
No. 4N of flow diagram No. 4 (near coastal voyage certification)
Category-Fitter has been under consideration with the Directorate
for quite sometime. After assessing the various trades which are
now being accepted for issue of CDC and the academic qualifications,
they need to obtain to be eligible for entry into stream 4N, the
following has been decided:
1) The candidate must have done
a 2 years ITI course followed by a certificate of having passed
from the National Council of Vocational Training all (NCVT) their
examinations pertaining to the course.
The specific trades for category
Fitter are :-
i) Fitter
ii) Machinist
iii) Electrician - Electrical,
Electronic.
iv) Pump-man- Diesel Mechanics,
Motor Mechanics
v) Electronic & Refrigeration
Mechanic
