ENG CIRCULAR - 003
|
No: ENG/EXAM-17(26)/2000 Date
: 19th January 2001
The MEO Examination of Class
II (old) under the 1989 Examination Rules have been terminated
in the month of December 2000. However, since the number of candidates
who had appeared in the last month i.e. November & December 2000,
were very high, many of them could not get a second chance for
reappearing in the examination. In order to ensure the smooth
transition from the examination under the 1989 Examination rules
to the Examination under 1998 Rules, provision has been made to
credit the result of Part 'A' and Part 'B' subjects in the Class
II (old) Examination conducted under MEO 1989 Rules towards the
Class IV (new) Certificate of Competency under the 1998 Rules.
However, to facilitate more number of candidates to appear and
clear subjects in their old Class II Part 'B' examination, the
Chief Examiner of Engineers has decided that one more examination
of Class II (old) Part 'B' under the MEO 1989 Examination Rules
shall be conducted in the Month of March 2001 only for those candidates
who have already appeared earlier and failed in some of the subjects.
Under no condition would first time candidates or candidates with
left over subjects of Class II Part 'A' (old) be allowed to appear
for the examination. The timetable and date of examination for
the Class II Part 'B' (old) examination are given hereunder for
your information. The same may be given wide publicity and owners
and managers duly informed so that the candidates get their due.
This is for your kind information.
