The following may please be noted with the ENGG. CIRCULAR NO.20 brought out vide. Ref.No. ENG/OPP-38(2)/97 dated 15/12/2003 on subject: "Implementation of the revised Annex IV of MARPOL 73/78 Convention".

The first paragraph of the first page of the International Sewage Pollution Prevention Certificate as enclosed with Engg. Circular No.20 to be read as Issued under the provisions of the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from ships, 1973, as modified by the Protocol of 1978 relating thereto, and amended by Resolution MEPC 88(44) (referred to as "the Convention") under the authority of the Government of India instead of
International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from ships, 1973, as modified by the Protocol of 1978 relating thereto, and amended by Resolution MEPC 44(20) (referred to as "the Convention") under the authority of the Government of India.

N.B. The amended first page of the International Sewage Pollution Prevention Certificate is enclosed for reference and necessary compliance
