All Ports are advised to provide detail
information on their Port Reception Facilities to the nearest Principal
Officer, Mercantile Marine Department. The information received from the
Port Facilities on the availability of Reception Facilities for all MARPOL
Annexes to be collated and duly verified by the concerned Mercantile
Marine Department. Consolidated reports of the category wise Port
Reception Facilities covering the detail information as per the attached
format (Annex-I) are to be
forwarded by the Principal Officer of the concerned district to the
Directorate by 30th September, 2009 for onward transmission to
the IMO.
2. Attached herewith also find the
IMO Circular No. MEPC.1/Circ.671
dated
20th July 2009
for the attention, compliance and implementation by all concerned viz.,
all Port Reception Facilities, Ship owners, Ship operators, and Ship
masters.
3. This issues with the approval of the Chief Surveyor with the
Govt. of India.
