TIME LIMIT FIXED FOR SUBMISSION OF PLACEMENT DETAILS BY THE INSTITUTES.

(i) For one-year IGNOU DNS Course -

a)   List of Cadets Selected for Placement to be relayed to DGS within 4 months of the Cadets Passing out from the Institute  

b)   List of Cadets actually placed on board ships to be relayed to DGS within 6 months of the Cadets Passing out from the Institute  

(ii) For one-year GME Course -

a)   List of Cadets Selected for Placement to be relayed to DGS within 4 months of the Cadets Passing out from the Institute  

b)   List of Cadets actually placed on board ships to be relayed to DGS within 6 months of the Cadets Passing out from the Institute  

(iii) For two-year DME Course -

a)   List of Cadets Selected for Placement to be relayed to DGS within 6 months of the Cadets Passing out from the Institute  

b)   List of Cadets actually placed on board ships to be relayed to DGS within 9 months of the Cadets Passing out from the Institute ** 

(iv) For three-year B.Sc Nautical Science Course -

a)   List of Cadets Selected for Placement to be relayed to DGS within 4 months of the Cadets Passing out from the Institute  

b)   List of Cadets actually placed on board ships to be relayed to DGS within 6 months of the Cadets Passing out from the Institute.

(v) For four-year BE/BS/BTech Marine Engineering Course -

a)   List of Cadets Selected for Placement to be relayed to DGS within 4 months of the Cadets Passing out from the Institute  

b)   List of Cadets actually placed on board ships to be relayed to DGS within 6 months of the Cadets Passing out from the Institute  

(vi) For four-year BS Nautical Technology (Embedded sea time) Course -

a)   List of Cadets Selected for Embedded sea time to be relayed to DGS not less than 45 days before scheduled commencement of embedded sea time

b)   List of Cadets actually placed on board ships for embedded sea time to be relayed to DGS within 3 months of commencement of embedded sea time

(vii) For three-year ATS (Embedded sea time) Course -

a)   List of Cadets Selected for Embedded sea time to be relayed to DGS not less than 45 days before scheduled commencement of embedded sea time

b)   List of Cadets actually placed on board ships for embedded sea time to be relayed to DGS within 3 months of commencement of embedded sea time

c)   List of Cadets Selected for Placement to be relayed to DGS within 4 months of the Cadets Passing out from the Institute  

d)   List of Cadets actually placed on board ships to be relayed to DGS within 6 months of the Cadets Passing out from the Institute

(viii) For one-year GME (Embedded sea time) Course -

a)   List of Cadets Selected for Embedded sea time to be relayed to DGS not less than 45 days before scheduled commencement of embedded sea time

b)   List of Cadets actually placed on board ships for embedded sea time to be relayed to DGS within 3 months of commencement of embedded sea time

** The time frame in this case was increased because of the delay in obtaining seats for writing Class 4 Part A Examination, after passing out. The institutes were advised that the candidates could appear for the competency examinations at any centre, further they were advised that presently there was no restriction in the number of candidates who could appear from Mumbai. Hence they could advise the candidates to appear from Mumbai in case seats are not available at any other centre in a rare case.
