 Crew Branch Circular No.1 of 2002 dated 21st / 22nd January, 2002 prescribes the procedure for cancelling the endorsements restricting the period of validity, entered on CDCs, issued to the Trainee Marine Engineers (TMEs)/Deck Cadets. However, all TMEs and Cadets with CDCs, for restricted period of validity are hereby permitted to continue sailing on board vessels as TMEs/Cadets, with CDCs endorsed with such restrictions, to complete the required sailing time on board Indian and foreign flag ships, in Indian and foreign waters.
