Subject : Submission of Plans/Booklets in Electronic format.
 

Sirs,

     This office has been receiving bulky Booklets/Plans from Shipowners/Ship builders/Consultants for the Directorate's approval.  After approval, one copy of such plans/booklets is kept in the Directorate for records. Of late, we have noticed that storage/retrieval of such plans/booklets has become extremely cumbersome.

     All Shipowners/Ship builders/Consultants have therefore been informed that, hence-forth, while submitting following Plans/Booklets for approval, one copy of the same should be in electronic format (CD/DVD only), which will be retained in the Directorate, as office copy.

1. Trim & Stability Booklet & Stability Booklet stamped by the previous Administration.
2. Damage Stability Booklet.
3. Grain Stability Booklet
4. Loading Operation Manual
5.Cargo Securing Manual
6. Structural Plans for Passenger Ships.
7. Crew Accommodation Plans.
8. Structural Fire Protection Plans.
9. Escape/Door Plans.
