1. Pre-sea Training for Deck Cadet
(One time approval is given for conducting one batch)

2. Diploma in Nautical Science (IGNOU) - One batch
(*each batch of 40 candidates for Jan & Aug)
(Provisional approval to conduct one batch in a year)
(# 2 batches per annum of 40 candidates each)

3. Elementary First Aid (EFA)

4. Personal Survival Techniques (PST)

5. Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities (PSSR)

6. GMDSS(GOC)

7. Oil Tanker Familiarization (OTF) - (Permanently withdrawn vide order no.3-TR(8)/2001-Misc dated 18.11.2011)
   

8. Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting (FPFF)

9. Radar Arpa & Navigation Simulator Course [RANSCO]
   This Course be conducted by staggering the batches with
   ROC & ARPA on different days.  One Master Mariner be
   appointed for maximum of 3 of one station.

10.Automatic Radar Plotting Aids (ARPA)
    This course be conducted by staggering the batches with
    ROC & RANSCO on different days.

11. Radar Observer Course (ROC)
     This course be conducted by staggering the batches with
     ROC & RANSCO on different days.

12.2nd Mate (FG) Function Course.
    This approval is accorded subject to verification of pending
    minor deficiencies by the Academic council.

13. One Year Diploma in Nautical Science Course leading to
     B. Sc. (Nautical Science).
     The Institute should admit 80 candidates only in August
     Batch.  As a one time measure the Institute in permitted
     to exceed the annual intake of 80 in 2009 as the Institute
     has already admitted candidates in February, 2009 batch.

14. One Year Diploma in Nautical Science Course leading to B. Sc. (Nautical Science)
This provisional approval is accorded only for February, 2010 batch.

15. Approval of all the above courses temporarily withdrawn vide show-cause-notice/temporary withdrawal order No.3-TR(8)/2011-Misc dated 19.07.2011.

16. Temporarily withdrawn courses has been restored vide order no.3-TR(8)/2001-Misc dated 18.11.2011 except OTF course, which is permanently withdrawn.

17. One year  Diploma in Nautical Science Course leading to B. Sc. (Nautical Science) - Intake capacity of 80 candidate per annum has been split in to 2 batches of 40 each for February & August of every year.
