approval granted for conducting GP Rating and CCMC (erstwhile Saloon Rating) Courses stands suspended in terms of
Para 5.5.2 of DGS Order No.2 of 2007 and the institute is directed
not to start any fresh batch from 1st January, 2009 onwards vide
DGS order No. 3-TR(146)-II dated 29th December, 2008.

Note: The
representation of the Institute was examined and the Director General of
Shipping & Ex-officio Additional Secretary to the Government hereby
restore the approvals granted to the Institute for conduct of 6 months G.
P. Rating Course with the intake of 90 candidates per batch and 6 months
Certificate Course on Maritime Catering with the intake of 40 candidates
per batch on provisional basis with effect from 1st July, 2009
onwards vide order No. 3-TR (146)/98-II dated 04th May, 2009.
